Our work
Systems we've built. Problems we've solved.
Over 200 projects delivered across 24 years. Here are some of the systems, platforms, and partnerships that represent the range and depth of what we do.
Enterprise Consulting
LA Metro
The challenge: The Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority, one of the largest transit agencies in the nation, needed to modernize metro.net for a mobile audience and give riders a new way to explore its stations and the public art within them.
What we built: Two flagship projects. For the metro.net redesign, we managed a multi-phased migration to adaptive templates, updated the global navigation with flyout menus, transitioned site search to Google, and handled infrastructure work including coast-to-coast failover and autoscaling. For the Metro Station Guide, we led product requirements, design, prototyping, and development of a web application optimized for iPad, iPhone, and touchscreen kiosks installed in Metro stations, in collaboration with Zehner Group and Slickage Studios.
The impact: The Station Guide and its Information Tower kiosks launched at the Union Station 75th Anniversary celebration in May 2014 to positive media and public reception, and the redesigned metro.net delivered an adaptive experience to millions of riders.

Sling TV, Times Square
The challenge: Sling TV's Times Square campaign centered on a live savings counter, a number climbing in real time on one of the most watched screens in the world. The Clear Channel Outdoor display renders a dedicated web zone, so the counter had to be built as a web page capable of running flawlessly around the clock.
What we built: The web page powering the animated odometer counter on the billboard, developed to Clear Channel Outdoor's specifications for the screen's high-resolution URL Zone and engineered for continuous unattended playback high above Broadway.
The impact: The counter ran live in Times Square, ticking past $1.2 billion in viewer savings as the campaign played out over Broadway.

AI Systems & Platforms
Ecobot
The challenge: Environmental professionals conducting wetland delineations relied on paper forms and manual office processing, spending 30 to 60 minutes per form converting field notes into regulatory documentation. The workflow was disconnected, error-prone, and completely separated from GIS.
What we built: As founding mobile engineer, Brian built the first iteration of Ecobot's iOS application, a field data collection tool that allows environmental professionals to capture wetland delineation data, vegetation surveys, and hydric soil observations directly on-device. The app integrates offline data entry, automated USACE dominance calculations, real-time GIS mapping, and built-in Regional Supplement references, reducing form processing from hours to minutes.
The impact: Ecobot has grown into a leading platform for wetland delineation and environmental compliance, used by field ecologists and environmental consultants across the country. The mobile-first foundation laid by the original iOS app enabled the product's core value proposition: taking complex regulatory workflows out of the office and into the field.

Mission Management Company
The challenge: Church organizations needed a way to systematically assess, classify, and plan for their property portfolios across dozens of locations, with data-driven decision-making instead of ad-hoc evaluations.
What we built: The technology platform powering MMCo's Rapid Renewal Framework, a scored survey system and automated audit report engine for church property portfolios. The platform delivers online readiness surveys (up to 78 questions across pastor, financial manager, and leadership team respondents), a proprietary MMCo Score assessing Financial, Organizational, and Property Readiness, and automated 20-page audit reports. A Desktop Review classification engine scores every parcel by Property Potential and Community Impact into four tiers (AA, AB, BA, BB), drawing on census data and synthetic demographic models within a 1.5-mile radius. The platform integrates the Claude API for AI-assisted analysis, 2D GIS maps with TMK parcel data, and is built on Next.js, Neon Postgres, and Vercel.
The impact: The platform gives church leaders the data they need to make confident, mission-aligned decisions about their properties, turning complex portfolio challenges into clear, actionable plans that serve their communities for generations.

iFirst Medical Technologies
The challenge: Medical device cartridges needed a reliable, non-invasive way to report fill percentage without adding sensors or hardware, using only the device's existing camera.
What we built: An iOS application integrating Core ML and edge detection to analyze live camera frames, identify the cartridge boundary, and calculate fill percentage in real time. The model runs entirely on-device using Apple's Neural Engine, with no cloud dependency, no latency, and no PHI leaving the device.
The impact: Clinicians gained actionable fill-level data from a hardware device that previously offered none, enabling better diagnostic test results without any changes to the physical device.
