AI for your small business

We make AI affordable and understandable for Hawaii’s small businesses.

Why AI?

Intelligent tools that let you focus on your customers instead of your to-do list.

Every small business owner knows the feeling: too much to do, not enough time, and no budget to hire help. You’re stuck doing tasks that feel like they should be easier by now—answering the same questions over and over, copying data between systems, digging through old emails to find one piece of information.

AI is good at exactly this kind of work. Not the creative stuff. Not the relationship stuff. The repetitive, time-consuming stuff that keeps you from the work that actually matters.

We build simple AI tools that handle these tasks for you. A chatbot that answers customer questions day and night. A system that pulls information from your documents so you don’t have to dig. Automations that take a 30-minute task and turn it into a 30-second one. Nothing fancy. Just practical tools that give you time back.

Transforming client operations: How we built AI automation tools to give time back to our clients and reduce errors and inefficiencies.

Content Automation

5 mins

Average time to
auto-generate and upload a blog post.

8 hours

Estimated weekly
time savings.

Problem

When a large and well known Hawaii-based multi-brand digital enterprise approached us with their content scaling challenges, they were spending countless hours manually creating and publishing content across their various websites and product lines. They needed a solution that could automate their content operations while maintaining quality and brand consistency.

Solution

We developed a custom automation platform powered by OpenAI that transformed their content workflow. Our solution could automatically generate engaging, SEO-optimized content, intelligently assign tags and categories, and publish directly to multiple WordPress websites. The system was designed to create content of a certain length with hyperlinks opening in new windows and a boilerplate footer with a call-to-action.

Computer Vision

Approximate time to process an image.

100+ hours

AI versus manually transcribing text.

Problem

A local parts distributor faced a significant challenge in their warehouse operations. They needed to move facilities on short notice and manually cataloging product information from physical items was creating a bottleneck in their inventory management process. Their team was spending valuable time examining products and manually entering serial numbers, lot numbers, and descriptions into their system – a process that was both time-consuming and prone to human error.

Solution

We developed a image processing automation solution powered by Google Vision APIs that revolutionized their workflow. The system could process batches of product photos taken under various lighting conditions, automatically extracting critical information such as serial numbers, lot numbers, and product descriptions. This data was then automatically compiled into organized spreadsheets, creating a streamlined digital inventory record.

“Working with Tapiki for our Hawaii Food Industry Association and Made in Hawaii Festival websites hosting and maintenance has been an absolute game-changer. The ease with which we could get changes done to our site was remarkable. Tapiki made it incredibly simple to do site updates, ensuring our website always ran smoothly. They took care of all the plugin updates and security patches, which gave us peace of mind knowing our site was always secure.

Whenever we needed assistance with web-related issues, their team was prompt, professional, and extremely helpful. Tapiki’s services have truly made managing our website effortless. We couldn’t be happier with the results!”

“Brian is the classical coder turned manager, and that’s the best kind of engineering manager you will find. Far too often we have these slick talking MBAs who can’t get anything done because they don’t have the respect of their engineers.

Brian was one of the best client-side lead engineers I knew, before he moved into management where he built the best UI engineering team in the history of .Mac. Together with my team on the server side, we delivered one of the best web based email service back in Oct. 2005 and won many rave reviews. It was one of the high points of my career and I would work with Brian again on any project in a heartbeat.”

“As a strategy consultant working on cutting-edge NFT projects for clients, I rely on the technical expertise of developers familiar with blockchain technology to determine the feasibility of the idea.

Working with Tapiki for the Vanishing Murals dynamic NFT project which required the NFT artworks to change based on the Hawaii ocean water temperatures, Brian’s knowledge of blockchain architecture gave me the confidence to continue pursuing the concept and successfully launch the collection for the client!”

Ellen Ng, Founder

INOA, your trusted partner on all things e-commerce and NFTs

“Since 2013, we’ve partnered with Brian Dote and Tapiki, who truly understand our mission. For the Shinnyo Lantern Floating Hawaiʻi event, Tapiki has expertly managed our website year-round and adapted during the pandemic by creating an app with a beloved “float a virtual lantern” feature, keeping our community connected.

Brian is amazing to work with, incredibly responsive, knowledgeable, and always available to provide technical guidance and advice. We are lucky to work with him and hope to continue our relationship with Tapiki for many years to come.”
