## About

Tapiki is a software and AI solutions firm founded in 2002 by Brian Dote. Over 24 years, we've delivered more than 200 projects for organizations across Hawaiʻi and beyond — from SaaS platforms and enterprise CRMs to e-commerce systems and digital transformation initiatives.

## Founder

Brian Dote — engineer, technologist, and founder of Tapiki.

- **Apple Inc. (2004–2008)** — iCloud/iTunes UI Engineering Manager. Earned 5 US patents. Led the team that built .Mac, Apple's web services platform.
- **Tapiki, LLC (2002–present)** — Founder & Principal Engineer. 200+ projects, 100+ clients.
- **Mission Management Company (2024–present)** — Chief Technology Officer. AI-powered SaaS platform for church property assessment.
- **iFirst Medical Technologies (2020–present)** — Chief Engineer. AI-integrated clinical tools using CoreML and computer vision.

### iFirst Medical Technologies (AI/ML — Medical Device)
iOS application using Core ML and edge detection to determine cartridge fill percentage from live camera frames. Runs entirely on-device via Apple Neural Engine — no cloud dependency, no PHI off-device. Enabled better diagnostic test results from a hardware device that previously provided no fill data.

### Mission Management Company (AI Systems & Platforms)
Technology platform powering MMCo's Rapid Renewal Framework for mission-based repurposing of church assets. Features: online readiness surveys (up to 78 questions across pastor, financial manager, and leadership team), proprietary MMCo Score assessing Financial/Organizational/Property Readiness, automated 20-page audit reports, Desktop Review classification engine scoring parcels by Property Potential and Community Impact (AA/AB/BA/BB tiers), census and synthetic demographic data within 1.5-mile radius, 2D GIS maps with TMK parcel data, and Claude API (Anthropic) integration. Built on Next.js, Neon Postgres, Vercel.

### Ecobot (Mobile Engineering — Environmental Tech)
Founding iOS mobile engineer. Built the first iteration of Ecobot's field data collection app for wetland delineation. The app enables environmental professionals to capture vegetation surveys, hydric soil data, and GPS-mapped observations on-device with offline support, automated USACE compliance calculations, and GIS export. Ecobot has grown into a leading wetland delineation platform used by field ecologists across the country.
